Jason Clement
Group Admin
Title Editor-in-Chief
Joined November 2010

Jason Clement is the third administrator to run Game Podunk since its inception and the current Editor-in-Chief of editorial content (2011-Present). He has originally been a member of the site since November 2010, though since the change in ownership in 2012, his profile shows that he has been a member since January 20th, 2012; since the site had to move over to a new, yet identical forum. He was the third recruited member of the original editorial pool put together by Nashkirb in early 2011, and is the first administrator to run the site to not have previously met or interacted with DarkStar.

Early Beginnings

Jason was originally drawn to GP by a unique campaign that the site's second admin, NashKirb, was running at the time. In an effort to draw attention to the site and gain new members, a $50 prize was given out weekly/semi-monthly to members whose blogs were featured on the site. Despite being initially wary of the offer, Jason tried his hand at writing a blog and was subsequently featured. A few months later, he was recruited by NashKirb and two other members, Dan Curtis and Jamie Donnelly, into an editorial team. Together with Marcus Estrada, the four wrote news, reviews, and editorials for the site until Dan and Jamie left to go seek full-time employment upon completing their university courses.

Carrying on from where those two left, Jason and Marcus kept writing for GP until Nash mentioned that he needed both to form a new editorial team and that one would need to take the Editor-in-Chief role while the other would become the Managing Editor.

Editorial Work on GP

In addition to managing and overseeing the editorial staff, Jason has written a number of news articles, opinions, features, and reviews. In March 2014, he took over Gaiages' Memory Lane feature to help finish it.

Interests

Video Games

Having grown up with Nintendo consoles beginning with the NES, Jason is a big fan of the company's games even to this day. He generally likes most of the company's major franchises but ranks The Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, Metroid, Chibi-Robo, and Kirby series among his most favorite. And though he didn't own a PlayStation console until buying a PlayStation 2 in 2008, he considers himself a fan of Sony as well, having played games like Jumping Flash!, Gex, and Rayman among others at a friend's house while growing up.

He considers The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword to be his current favorite and best game he's ever played.

TV

Jason is a fan of such TV shows as Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, The Pretender, Lost, Rob & Big, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Doc Martin and more. His two favorite shows as of the 2013-2014 season are The Blacklist and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. He considers The Blacklist to have possibly the best first season of any TV show ever.[1]
